Update on Hip Arthroscopy—Labral Repair
Abstract
Abstract
Hip arthroscopy is one of the most exciting and expanding fields in orthopaedic surgery. Treatment of anomalies and tears of the fibrocartilaginous labrum has shown some of the greatest promise in terms of reducing pain in the hip. Hip-specific implants have been developed to provide the surgeon with an effective method to perform repair of the labrum. This article discusses sources of hip pain that can be treated arthroscopically, as well as discussing repair of the acetabular fibrocartilaginous labrum.
