13th EFORT Congress Berlin

The 13th EFORT Congress will take place in Berlin in May 2012. Following the success of previous meetings, the scientific programme will be focused mainly on symposia and instructional lectures given by distinguished speakers, as well as free paper submissions from all over Europe. Highlights of the Congress include the aging spine, navigation and soft tissue balancing in total knee arthroplasty, orthopaedic responsibility in pain treatment, arthroscopy in hand surgery, treatment options in difficult cases, and an evaluation of stem cell therapy, to mention only a few. In view of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011-2020), we will focus in particular on trauma topics, such as patients with multiple injuries. In collaboration with our Speciality Societies, we are organising special sessions in well-known and also new formats.
